What you should know before using Ecologic® PANDA.Â
Ecologic® PANDA can be used during 8th, 9th month and the first year of life of the child in combination with medication. Between the use of antibiotics and probiotics should at least be 2 hours time. Using the product with other food supplements does not pose any problems.
Ecologic® PANDA can be used during pregnancy and you can give it with an easy feeling to your newborn child, if you keep yourself to the instructions. In case of doubt, please ask your doctor/professional for advice. The product is not suitable as sole source of nourishment.
How to use Ecologic® PANDA during the 8th and 9th month of pregnancy?
Ecologic® PANDA is used during the last two months of your pregnacny. In this way you balance your intestinal flora before giving birth.
Ecologic® PANDA is meant to be used orally. Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet once daily in a glass of water, milk or fruit juice. Leave it for 10 minutes before you drink it, preferably with a meal. Ecologic® PANDA is suitable for long term use.
How to use Ecologic® PANDA during the first year of life?
Ecologic® PANDA for the first year of life can be given from the day of birth.
Ecologic® PANDA is meant to be used orally.
Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet once daily in at least 10 ml (2-3 tablespoons) of 20°C water (room temperature) till 35°C (lukewarm). Depending on what you are used to give to your baby, you can used boiled and cooled down water or non boiled water directly from the tap. Leave the solution for 10 minutes.
How to store Ecologic® PANDA?
Keep Ecologic® PANDA out of reach for children. Keep in the original package in a dry place below 25°C. Preferably not in the refrigerator.
The best before date is on the sachet and on the box.
    Influence of the intestinal flora of the mother on the child.
A baby is born 'sterile'. This means that the intestines are not yet exposed to bacteria and there is no intestinal flora. During labour the baby comes in first contact with bacteria, namely those of the mother. At this moment the development of the intestinal flora of your baby starts. It is therefore important that the mother passes on a many good bacteria as possible.
Why Ecologic® PANDA during and after pregnancy?
At the time being there has been done a lot of research into the mechanism of different good bacteria, or probiotics. From this research it is concluded that not all strains are equal. They do not influence the intestinal flora in the same way and therewith the specific components that play part in the immune system that play a role in the development of eczema and allergy..
Ecologic® PANDA consists of different bacterial strains that are specifically meant for the pregnant female and baby to reduce the risk of allergy and eczema for the baby. Influencing the intestinal flora before giving birth and at very young age can help to reduce this risk.
In combination with bottle feeding or retort feeding
Shake the solution at first or stir well before adding this to the bottle. As wished this solution can be added to one feed or can divided over different feeds per day. In last mentioned case it is best to store the solution in the refrigerator and take it out 15 minutes before use or keep in hand till it is on room temperature. Do not store the solution for more than one day.
In combination with breastfeeding It is generally known that giving breastfeeding has a positive influence on the immune system of babies. Breastfeeding is the best food that a mother can give to her child. Besides Ecologic® PANDA can be administered during the first year of life. With many babies it is possible to do this through a bottle with a dummy. If the baby has trouble with this, try to administer the solution with a cup (cup-feeding) or with the help of a special syringe (finger feeding). These tools can be acquired through the pharmacy or house help shops. Beware that the temperature of the solution is lukewarm (between 30-40 °C) so it is pleasant to drink.
Probiotics and breastfeeding
With breastfeeding a mother helps to maintain the healthy flora of her baby. Breastfeeding in combination with Ecologic® PANDA during the first year of life has a positive influence on the intestinal flora of the baby.
