Reduces the risk of diarrhoea due to antibiotic use

The microbiota in our intestines is a vulnerable and unstable system. The normal ‘healthy’ balance can easily be interrupted by stress factors created for instance by the use of antibiotics.
Antibiotics are essential for the treatment of many illnesses. However, as antibiotics can adversely affect the natural gut flora, their use can have undesirable side-effects, such as diarrhoea. Ecologic® AAD has been developed to restore the healthy gut flora and the natural balance in the gut before and after a course of antibiotics, thus significantly reducing the risk of diarrhoea.

Together with researchers from the University of Maastricht Winclove designed a product which affects the cause of the problems. On the basis of what is known about the antibiotic side effects, we designed a mixture of probiotic strains, specifically suitable to treat the disruption of the intestinal flora.

 

Ecologic® AAD 

Ecologic® AAD contains 10 probiotic strains:

  • Lactobacillus acidophilus (2 strains)
  • Lactobacillus paracasei
  • Lactobacillus plantarum
  • Lactobacillus rhamnosus
  • Lactobacillus salivarius
  • Enterococcus faecium
  • Bifidobacterium bifidum
  • Bifidobacterium lactis (2 strains)
